Welcome to the next pop-up event from SPEAK, the public speaking platform for people with ideas and stories. The theme for this pop-up is “Intersect” where we will be exploring the ideas and stories of 10 unique and diverse individuals in relation to our theme. SPEAK: Intersect – When two things intersect, they run into each other. This can mean that what lies before is disconnected from what lies ahead, but it can also mean finding a common area or lying across each other. If you think about two roads or paths, it is where one road crosses the other so that neither road can be defined. It can be seen as a gray area because it is undefinable, with no clear delineation between one and another, making it an intimidating place to be, but it may also be the place with the best view of all the possible directions to travel. In the end, it is a place where opposites find common ground. These 10 talks will feature creative takes on the theme “Intersect” and the impact of that intersection on their lives and the lives of those around them.
