Charles R. Solis, Jr. is a Co-founder and the Director of the REACH Family Institute, a non-profit educational organization specializing in child brain development. Charles has degrees in Biology and Human Development and forty-eight years of experience teaching parents how to transform their children’s lives through enhanced brain development. He is an expert in the development of human functional ability. Charles has worked with families from every social class in settings ranging from the poorest slums of South America to the Venezuelan Presidential Palace and Vatican City. In addition to his work with parents, Charles trained hundreds of professionals in Venezuela. He was instrumental in opening 34 centers there, bringing desperately needed help to thousands of families. With his wife, Conceição, Charles’ dedication to children and the family has earned accolades from many international community leaders, including Pope John Paul II, who called their work with the poor in Venezuela “an extension of the Gospel of Life.” Charles has lectured to parents on every continent except Antarctica. He has spoken at conferences in Vatican City, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark, Washington DC, and Venezuela. Charles is devoted to his family, speaks four languages, and loves hiking, skiing, fly fishing, traveling, and cooking.
