SPEAK: Resilience

Janet McConnell is an inspirational public speaker, fitness trainer, published author, and award-winning bodybuilder who believes that strength and resilience are the unsung qualities necessary for the long road ahead. The key to being built to last is more than just healthy food and daily walks. After a health crisis in middle age of her own, Janet transformed her life, and embarked on a mission to reclaim her health, finding that the pervasive message to her setback was, “Well, it’s just part of getting old. It’s all downhill from here.” She asked herself, “What can we do to activate our full potential at any stage of life?” Her own transformation was so powerful that she retired from Corporate America to pursue her passion for inspiring a new generation of men and women who want to be healthy, strong, and age powerfully. Janet encourages everyone to challenge the long held belief that as we grow older, we will automatically become sicker, weaker, and have to give up all the joys that make life worth living. Together, we can take real steps to be Built To Last.
