I am a college administrator, a counselor, and a Christian. I started my career in education as an elementary teacher in the South with a national teaching program. My next position would be an opportunity to work with high school students identified as at-risk of not graduating sponsored by a national grant. While in this position, I decided to pursue a master’s leading to becoming a Counselor Educator. Having had experience working with adults working toward high school completion and now at-risk high school students, my next career goal was to work with college students. I began effectual work as a counselor and administrator with community college students at the top of the millennium. My commitment to college administration and work with students led me to earn a terminal degree in community college administration. My career has continually focused on encouraging students to see opportunities beyond today. I am a preacher’s kid who continues to believe in possibilities. Two important mottos: work what you have to get to what you want and never give up!
