Megan Hurley is a Traumatic Brain Injury survivor who struggles with cognition & coherence. She joined Toastmasters International to re-learn how to write & speak about overcoming life's greatest challenges with hope, adversity & resilience. Megan is a Motivational & Inspirational Speaker, Advocate & Educator. As a former high school teacher, Megan volunteers in the community to raise awareness for advocacy & empowerment. She is an Ambassador for the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation & on the Board of the Peer Support Network. Megan was a featured speaker for Leap to Success; a nonprofit for women battling life obstacles, with other nonprofit organizations & at Toastmasters District Events. Through her memoir, Hope Survives: Strength After a Traumatic Brain Injury, Megan shares an incredible journey of inspiration. She lives with her husband, Bob, & their dog Shadow in sunny San Diego.
