Pam Parsons

SPEAK: Neurodiversity

For 34 years, Pam was an art teacher in a public school district.  In 2018 she became the main caregiver to her two fantastic bonus children.  When her stepson aged out of the life skills program at the high school, she was able to retire to become a full time step mom.  Since her stepson has autism, this second chapter has been an incredible new adventure for her. Her blended family has shaped her into a person who celebrates often and stresses much less of the small stuff.  She has met so many incredible people in the autism community who inspire her daily to be determined, patient and joyful.  Like any adventure, this life is full of ups and downs, however the ups far outweigh the downs for Pam.
