SPEAK: Resilience

Richard Kellner is the founder of the PKD Outreach Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on creating awareness and funding the use of genetic testing to put an end to Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), a major cause of kidney failure. His commitment and passion to see an end to PKD comes from his personal and family’s tragic experience facing the disease. Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is a genetic condition that often results in kidney failure by the time the patient is in their late 40’s or 50’s. This is a genetic condition with a 50 percent chance of being passed on to children, but with IVF and Genetic Testing families can stop passing it down to their future generations.
