History has its eyes on us and we are not throwing away our shot. Welcome to the first pop-up event from SPEAK, the platform for people with ideas and stories. The theme for this pop-up is “Beginnings” where we will be exploring the ideas and stories of 10 unique and diverse individuals in relation to our theme. Tickets available now.

Housekeeping

Admission for SPEAK: Beginnings on November 17, 2022 at Stage 317. 7:00pm start time, doors open at 6:45pm. Stage 317 is inside 317 Main, located at 317 Main Street in Farmingdale, NY 11735. A ticket grants you admission into the event. Please note that there is a 2 drink minimum at the venue but there will also be a full food menu available to order from during the show. Our show will be held cabaret style with dinner and drinks available during a show consisting of 10 SPEAKers presenting the first SPEAK talks in history. SPEAK is a platform for “people with ideas and stories” and our inaugural gathering will make history. Please a lot for 3 hours including dinner and the show.

Should I eat before coming?

Definitely not! 317 Main Street will provide a full dinner and drink menu. Since the event is cabaret style, you will be served anything that you order before the talks start and you'll be able to eat and drink during the performances.

Are drinks and food included in my ticket price?

No. They price of your ticket includes admission only. There is a two drink minimum for the venue during the show.

What is the art show about?

We will be featuring the artwork of Canverse and during the registration and ordering period, along with intermission and after the show, you'll have the opportunity to check out his artwork and even purchase a piece if you'd like. We'll be giving away a live piece that he's putting together while the show is happening!

Can I order food and drink during the talks?

Food and drink ordering will happen prior to the talks starting. There will be no movement by waitstaff during the SPEAK talks but your initial orders will be cleared out during intermission and you'll have an opportunity to re-order.

What is a SPEAK talk?

A SPEAK talk is a 6-10 minute talk presented in a storytelling format. These talks are ideas or stories that feature 3 key moments: the moment of truth, the moment of transformation and the moment of impact.
